In a place that prides itself on looking after one another, health and quality health care are top priorities. In order to deliver, our nurses must be able to thrive in healthy and safe workplaces.

We know that quality nursing care is the product of quality work environments. That's why we've launched the Practice Environment Collaboration Program (PECP). Through this innovative program RNs, LPNs, and employers work together to create healthy work environments. Nurses say that this program is sparking positive change and helping them identify their professional development needs.

Nova Scotia has also introduced the Workplace Violence Prevention Strategy (PDF) to identify potential risks in job settings, and develop plans to address them.
