Nova Scotia has a number of bursaries to help nurses at different stages in their careers.

Registered Nurses

The New Graduate Transition Allowance (PDF) helps new registered nurses reduce their student debt load.

Nova Scotia nursing students interested in accessing this bursary are invited to contact their school or their employer.

Licensed Practical Nurses

Through the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Nova Scotia, we offer the LPN bursary to those who wish to upgrade their physical assessment and medication administration skills.

French Language Nursing Bursaries for RNs and LPNs

Our French Language Nursing Bursaries assist new French-speaking graduates who have, or are completing, their final term of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Program or LPN program.
