Nova Scotians are known all over the world for their warmth and friendliness. We're also proud of our roots. Nova Scotians come from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. The early influence of the Mi'kmaq, as well as the French and Scottish settlers can be seen in everything from place names (Musquodoboit, anyone?) to local customs and celebrations like the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo.
