Technology is about more than circuits and wires. It helps people. That's why Nova Scotia is committed to the sustainability of critical medical equipment.
We've spent every dollar of the federal Medical Equipment Fund on medical equipment, introduced new PET and CT scanners, doubled our MRI capacity, and installed 64-slice CT scanners in most of our facilities.
We're introducing an electronic health records system, leading the country in Telehealth, and equipping our ambulances with defibrillators capable of performing the same type of electrocardiogram test on a patient at the scene, as in the hospital. Technology & Infrastructure
